8th Pay Commission: Give Your Feedback on Salary and Pension Changes via MyGov

The Indian government has officially launched the website for the 8th Central Pay Commission (8th CPC). This marks the beginning of a major consultation process to revise salaries, pensions, and allowances for central government employees and pensioners.

As the panel begins its work, it is inviting structured feedback from ministries, departments, employees, and pensioners to help shape future policy decisions.

How to Share Your Suggestions

To collect organized input, the government has released an online questionnaire with 18 questions on the MyGov portal. This is the only valid way to submit your views. The commission will not accept suggestions sent via email, physical letters, or PDF documents.

Employees and stakeholders are encouraged to share their opinions on key topics, including:

  • Fitment Factor: The multiplier used to determine basic pay.
  • Allowances: Revisions to various service benefits.
  • Basic Pay: Proposed changes to the pay matrix and salary levels.

Who is Eligible to Participate?

The consultation is open to a wide range of people and organizations, including:

  • Central Government and Union Territory employees.
  • Pensioners and family pensioners.
  • Judicial officers and court staff.
  • Members of regulatory bodies.
  • Employee associations, unions, and researchers.

Privacy Note: The government has assured all participants that personal details will remain strictly confidential. Responses will be analyzed as a group and will not identify any individual.

Important Deadline

The window for feedback is limited. You must submit your responses through the MyGov portal by March 16, 2026, at 11:45 p.m. IST. After this time, the survey will close.

Step-by-Step: How to Submit Your Response

  1. Visit the official MyGov survey website.
  2. Log in or register using your mobile number or email ID.
  3. Verify your account with the six-digit OTP sent to you.
  4. Complete the 18-question survey and submit.
