Singapore Welcomes Over 1.2 Million Indian Visitors in 2025
Singapore hosted more than 1.2 million visitors from India in 2025. According to data released by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) on Tuesday, this is a 1% increase compared to the previous year.
During this same period, tourism spending from Indian visitors reached 1.17 billion Singapore dollars. This represents a 5% increase year-on-year, showing that Indian travelers are spending more during their stay.
A Milestone Year for Singapore-India Tourism
Markus Tan, STB Regional Director for India, Middle East, South Asia, and Africa, noted that 2025 was a significant year. It marked 60 years of diplomatic relations between Singapore and India.
“We are encouraged that over a million Indian visitors chose Singapore,” Tan said. “The growth in spending shows the continued confidence the Indian market has in our destination.”
Strong Growth in Global Tourism
Singapore’s tourism industry saw steady growth across the board in 2025. Total international visitor arrivals reached 16.9 million, a 2.3% increase from 2024. This growth highlights Singapore’s lasting appeal to travelers from all over the world.
In terms of revenue, global tourism receipts reached 23.9 billion Singapore dollars in the first nine months of the year. This is a 6.5% rise from 2024 and the highest amount ever recorded for that period.
Why Indian Travelers are Choosing Singapore
The success in the Indian market is driven by several factors, including better flight connectivity and easier travel experiences. Marketing campaigns that speak directly to Indian travelers have also played a major role.
“What excites us most is the diversity of visitors,” Tan added. “We are seeing everything from leisure travelers looking for authentic experiences to large companies choosing Singapore for major corporate events and conferences.”
