PM Narendra Modi’s Assam Visit on February 14: Full Schedule and Project Details

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Assam on February 14, 2026. During his visit, he will inaugurate several major projects focused on improving travel, digital services, and education in the Northeast.

His first stop will be the new Emergency Landing Facility (ELF). This special runway was built with the Indian Air Force to help military and civil planes land during emergencies. It is a vital tool for quick rescue and relief work during natural disasters.

PM Modi’s Full Schedule in Assam

  • 10:30 a.m.: The PM will land at the Emergency Landing Facility on the Moran Bypass in Dibrugarh. He will watch an aerial show featuring fighter jets, transport planes, and helicopters.
  • 1:00 p.m.: He will visit the new Kumar Bhaskar Varma Setu, a major bridge over the Brahmaputra River.
  • 1:30 p.m.: At Lachit Ghat in Guwahati, the Prime Minister will officially launch projects worth over ₹5,450 crore.

Key Projects to be Launched

The Prime Minister’s visit highlights the government’s focus on developing the North-Eastern Region by upgrading public transport and technology.

1. Kumar Bhaskar Varma Setu

This new six-lane bridge cost about ₹3,030 crore to build. It connects Guwahati with North Guwahati and is the first “extradosed” bridge in the Northeast. It is designed to be extra strong and can withstand the region’s frequent earthquakes.

2. National Data Centre

Located at Amingaon in Kamrup district, this state-of-the-art facility will support important government digital services. It will also serve as a backup center to keep national data safe during emergencies.

3. IIM Guwahati

The Prime Minister will officially open the temporary campus of IIM Guwahati, providing a major boost to higher education and business studies in the region.

4. PM-eBus Sewa Scheme

To promote cleaner travel, the PM will flag off 225 electric buses. While 100 of these buses will stay in Guwahati, the rest are headed to Nagpur, Bhavnagar, and Chandigarh.
