Apple Prepare to Unveil New Products at March 4 “Experience” Event
Apple is getting ready to host a major event on March 4, which it is calling a “special Apple experience.” While the company has not yet shared official details, reports suggest we could see at least five new product launches, including a highly anticipated low cost MacBook.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the announcements may be spread across three days, starting Monday, March 2. The final day, March 4, is expected to feature hands on sessions for the media in cities like London, New York, and Shanghai.
Potential New Hardware and Chips
The upcoming launches are expected to cover a wide range of hardware, chips, and software. Leading the list is a new budget friendly MacBook. Rumors suggest this laptop could feature a 12.9 inch screen and run on an A18 Pro chip the same processor found in the iPhone 16 Pro to keep costs down while maintaining solid performance.
Other products rumored for a spring 2026 arrival include:
- iPhone 17e: A new entry level iPhone that is almost certain to debut during this event.
- New iPads: A refreshed base model iPad with an A18 chip and an iPad Air powered by the M4 chip.
- Updated Macs: New versions of the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air featuring M5 series chips.
Apple might also refresh the Mac Studio and Studio Display later in the first half of 2026. However, experts suggest launching everything at once on March 4 might be “overkill.”
Retail Clues and Inventory Shortages
Evidence of a refresh is already appearing in Apple retail stores. Inventory is reportedly running low on several current models, including the iPhone 16e, M4 MacBook Air, and specific iPad Air models. Shortages of Apple Watch bands also suggest that a spring color refresh is around the corner.
A New Type of Event
Notably, Apple is referring to this gathering as an “experience” rather than a traditional “event.” Because there is no mention of a major livestream on Apple’s website, the company may skip a single big keynote in favor of press releases and local media demonstrations.
Software Updates and AI Features
On the software side, Apple is expected to launch the first beta of iOS 26.4. A major highlight of this update could be a smarter Siri. Reports indicate that Google Gemini may power several new Siri features, such as better on screen awareness and deeper control within apps.
