HCL Tech and Nvidia Partner to Launch VisionX 2.0 AI Platform
HCLTech has partnered with Nvidia to create a new multi-modal AI platform called VisionX 2.0. This collaboration follows a growing trend of major technology companies working with global AI leaders to advance industrial automation.
VisionX 2.0 is an upgraded version of HCLTech’s existing AI edge platform. It builds on the company’s secure edge technology to help businesses process data safely and efficiently.
What Does the VisionX 2.0 Platform Do?
The platform provides real time intelligence for complex industrial settings. It is designed to improve safety and operational efficiency on a large scale.
VisionX 2.0 uses advanced technology, including:
- Computer Vision: Allowing machines to “see” and understand their surroundings.
- Vision Language Models (VLMs): Helping AI process both images and text together.
- Multi-modal Fusion: Combining different types of data for better accuracy.
- Edge-Optimized Generative AI: Running powerful AI directly on local devices for faster results.
High-Performance AI Technology
By working with Nvidia, HCLTech is using a specialized “physical AI” computing stack. This includes tools for video search, summarization, and advanced reasoning models. These tools allow the platform to perform complex tasks with high speed and precision.
“With VisionX 2.0, HCLTech is changing how intelligence is delivered in industrial settings,” said Vijay Guntur, CTO and Head of Ecosystems at HCLTech. “By combining our edge engineering with Nvidia’s AI infrastructure, we are helping businesses move from simply monitoring data to making trusted, real-time decisions where every millisecond counts.”
The Next Wave of Industrial Automation
The partnership aims to drive the next phase of industrial growth through Physical AI. This technology brings real-time intelligence to global operations, improving autonomy and safety.
“Physical AI which provides real-time, multi-modal intelligence is driving the next wave of industrial transformation,” said Deepu Talla, Vice President of Robotics and Edge AI at Nvidia. “It raises performance, safety, and independence across global operations.”
This announcement comes alongside other major AI partnerships in the industry, highlighting a massive shift toward integrated AI solutions for businesses worldwide.
