- Expected February launch with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Android 16
- Leaked colors: black, cobalt violet, white, silver shadow, sky blue, pink gold
Details about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra have surfaced online ahead of Samsung’s next flagship launch. Reports from Android Headlines include renders and specifications showing design changes, hardware, and software features. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to debut alongside the Galaxy S26 series at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event in February.
Design and Display
Leaked renders indicate the Galaxy S26 Ultra will have a flat display, moving away from the curved edges of previous models. The phone is said to feature a 6.9-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED screen with narrow, uniform bezels. A centered hole-punch cutout houses the front camera at the top of the display.
On the back, the device is shown with a vertical triple rear camera setup on a raised camera island. The LED flash sits next to the camera module. The design may cause slight wobbling when the phone is placed on a flat surface without a case. Volume and power buttons are on the right edge, and the S Pen remains part of the design.
Specifications and Performance
According to leaks, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will run Android 16 with One UI 8.5. It is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. One of the storage variants may offer 256GB of internal storage.
The device is reported to measure 163.6 x 78.1 x 7.9mm and weigh around 214 grams. A 5,000mAh battery is expected, with support for Wireless Power Share.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is tipped to include a 200-megapixel primary rear camera, paired with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 10-megapixel telephoto camera, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. On the front, a 12-megapixel camera is expected for selfies and video calls.
Launch Timeline
Samsung has not officially confirmed these details. However, based on current leaks, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to launch in February.
